How to Manifest Miracles with Satyagraha (soul force)

Last weekend I was privileged to witness some of the world’s eminent scientists and visionaries speaking on the subject of science and spirituality. The UPLIFT forum in Byron Bay represented a convergence of brilliant minds as well as generous, open hearted discussion. Anita Moorjani and Eben Alexander spoke on the miracle of their near-death experiences.

Being in end stage cancer with seemingly no hope of survival, Anita crossed the threshold between life and death. She came back to full health after experiencing the miracle of unconditional love. The power of love bought her to her complete and spontaneous remission of her disease. A striking part of her tale was the fact that her unfinished business and the prayers of her husband called her from the heavenly realms to complete her earthly existence. More of her tale can be found in her extraordinary book Dying to Live.

Eben Alexander’s extraordinary tale of passing over with fatal meningitis had a similar message to Anita’s. Eben had been an atheist neurosurgeon prior to his illness. Eben’s passing over constituted a realisation of the miracle of divine love behind all human life on earth. His spontaneous recovery he owed in part to the power of the prayers of his ten-year-old son and a family friend who channeled healing. Eben described how the prayers of his loved ones called him back to his earthly body and life.

Both speakers had a clear message- that the miracle of prayer cannot be underestimated. If you want to manifest a miracle – a sincere call out to the universe, to God, to Goddess, to Allah, to Jesus, to Spirit, to Source or whatever we call our divine love…will be heard.

In our busy construction called business, we sometimes overlook the supreme intelligence operating behind all of life which we can put to work for us to overcome adversity and challenge. This intelligence requires trust and faith for it to enter our sphere of influence and assist us in the co-creation of miracles in profound and synchronous ways.

Luminary, scientist, feminist and activist Vandana Shiva shared her simple message of satyagraha. Satya graha is a term coined by Mahatma Ghandi and is loosely translated into ‘insistence on truth’ or ‘soul force’ or ‘truth force.’ To save our planet and to move forward into our new era of transformation, we must mobilise satyagraha. It implies both love and firmness in adherence to truth. A force born of love and truth will seek to eliminate antagonism without harming the antagonists themselves. This requires an awareness of the moral powers that lie within the soul, the soul force itself which is an ever-loving and unconditionally loving force. This universal force does not discriminate between kinsmen and strangers, friend, foe, young, old, man or woman. We all have access to soul force and divine miracles, but first we must have a living faith.

A good coach will be a witness to your own soul force, your satyagraha. A committed coach will hold the line for you as you declare the truth emerging from the depths of your being. An extraordinary coach will also challenge you to keep striving, to insist upon uncovering and committing to your satyagraha. You may not even like an extraordinary coach – because an extraordinary coach is not going to let you off the hook and is going to call you out when it is required. Coaching is not counseling nor is it friendship, because it insists, in a non-violent and respectful way, that your own truth be honoured. Is there anything more important to you than living your most authentic life?

How would it feel to you if you reached the end of your life and had not made the truthful contributions to humanity that your soul knows you to be capable of?

Thank you, Lisa for this beautiful post and for introducing me to a new word/concept of Satyagraha…truly beautiful and powerful and exactly the choice I make too – to live in integrity and love, embracing the truth of who I know myself to be, and honoring that in others as well. It is early in the day right now, and this is the third time I’ve come upon the idea of “transformation” 🙂 LOVE when the Universe speaks so clearly. Wishing you a wonderful 2014. 🙂 xo
