Welcome back gorgeousness. Did you know that you are totally awesome? I absolutely love writing to you every week and supporting you to shine. You are perfect, whole and complete. There is nothing that needs fixing in you. There may be a perception that you need healing, that you’re broken or that you have flaws. However, here, in this space, you are held in your highest potential always. Your flaws, your perceived weaknesses, your so-called damages and challenges are part of that unique character that has bought you here. Sacred Women’s Business makes a stand for women who have travelled an individual, unique and colourful journey. It’s your will to be weird, your ability to step outside the mainstream paradigm and your uniqueness which makes you a perfect fit for this community. It’s your depth of experience, the fact that you’re an ‘old soul’ even if you’re still in a young body, that brings you here. Due to everything that has happened in your life, you have managed to expand on one very important thing. You have a huge heart.
I remember so many years of feeling different. Feeling like I didn’t fit in. I felt like I thought, felt and saw the world differently to most people, that I was too strange and too alternative to fit in and to be fully accepted. I was embarrassed about my inability to tread inside the box of normal for long. I rebelled, I was a loose cannon, I was even an anarchist at times. I was also deeply pained by the sense of isolation I felt. I was different to everyone else in a bad way, or so I perceived. I tried to squeeze myself into a framework that felt more acceptable to the mainstream. It didn’t work. I felt like I was dying. I’m certain so much of my depression and feelings of meaninglessness came from a deep sense that I just wasn’t ok to simply be me, with all my idiosyncrasies and complexities.
It’s been a long journey of self-acceptance. It’s a process still in motion. I’m happy to be a work in progress. I’m happy to say I live in a sweet semi-rural, alternative community outside the ‘main-frame’ and I’ve accepted that I’ve made choices to live in a non-nuclear family way with my two sons.
I love everything about running my coaching practice and I’m ecstatic to say that after many years of working in ways that didn’t bring out the best of what I had to offer, I’m finally living my dream to work in ways that do.
Years, I spent working in highly stressful professional therapy jobs and felt utterly disheartened and heart-broken by the medical system’s level of deeply entrenched un-wellness attempting to treat the symptoms and not the causes of disease and imbalance.
I was driven to become a yoga teacher in 2006 to address the imbalances of the body in a more holistic and preventative way. It has been an amazing and satisfying journey to see how yoga supports the body /mind/spirit interface to experience restoration of health and well-being.
However, it goes further than that. The greatest level of well-ness and balance and satisfaction a person can experience is when they have found their calling and are living it wholeheartedly. I’ve lost count of the number of people I saw who were suffering with chronic illnesses because they had denied themselves the luxury of following their calling. My patients and my students have all made their confessions about the pain of being off purpose and I experienced it myself. When we don’t live according to our life purpose, honouring our unique talents and abilities, we start feeling out of kilter. We may not even understand why we feel unwell, but we do.
I made a decision to stop feeling so disempowered and to do more of what I loved and what I felt empowered by. I was determined to support others to work in their genius zone so that they didn’t have to experience the pain I’d experienced doing work that wasn’t.
If you are stuck doing something you don’t truly love it’s time to plan your career transition. I’d love to support you to investigate your genius zone, your strengths and talents to find the best fit for you in your business or career direction.

I’m passionate about creating sustainable businesses which give back to the community and heal you in the process. This is due to be released later in 2014. I’ll keep you posted J
