LISA FITZPATRICK - ABOUT ME

Hi There! I'm Lisa Fitzpatrick.
Womankind Pelvic Care Physiotherapy has been created with a commitment to providing a caring, safe, gentle, kind, judgement-free and thorough approach to pelvic care.
It is a privilege to offer pelvic floor physiotherapy services for women (and men) of all ages and stages. Since graduating as a physiotherapist from Curtin University, Perth, in 1993, I have enjoyed a wide range of experience across all areas of physiotherapy with a special focus on women’s pelvic health since becoming a mother in 2000.

History of Experiences
Holistic wellness, yoga, mindfulness meditation, women’s empowerment and women’s health have underpinned my personal and working life over the past three decades. I have studied and practiced many different yoga styles and meditation techniques to explore ways of facilitating well-being, particularly for women.
I have also taught, presented and lectured in women’s physiology and yoga anatomy since 2007, Australia-wide and internationally. I have created wellness programs for the corporate world. I have collaborated with many domestic and international yoga schools to develop and teach their yoga anatomy curriculum as well as pre and postnatal yoga anatomy and physiology for yoga teacher training programs. I have also written and delivered women’s empowerment manuals and have given several keynote speeches to large audiences. I created and delivered the Womankind Pelvic Floor and Hormone Balancing 30hr Yoga Teacher Training which is yoga alliance recognised.
I have also studied specific women’s health physiotherapy and pelvic floor rehabilitation through the WHAT (Women’s Health Training Associates). I am currently studying women’s pelvic health through the Australian Physiotherapy Association’s professional development pathway. My treatment methods are based on up-to-date research and current methods combined with a deep appreciation for complementary medicine. I take a middle path approach, which considers the latest research alongside the holistic and subjective nature of women’s wellbeing.
My passion and commitment lies with providing safe, evidence-based, caring, kind, holistic and supportive care to empower women to live their best lives with sound pelvic health.
